Why, oh why?

You're probably asking yourself: "'Banner program'? Why do they need that?" The answer is quite simple, really: we've put a lot of hard work into revamping the JihadWeb[tm] to make it useful to a great number of people, and we'd like to share it.

Okay, admittedly, more hits are always nice, so that we can say we're popular. The thing is, the people who worked on this project didn't do it for ego reasons. We felt this important enough to give up hours and hours of our time so that other Web users could get stress relief from dealing with Barney, get a couple of chuckles to brighten their day, and find information for convincing parents that the plush toy is bad for their children.

That said, helping out is pretty simple. And, according to our clinical studies, you too may reap some fabulous benefits from participating.

What is it?

The banner program is one of the mechanisms that we're using to increase the traffic on our pages. Unlike certain money-grubbing companies that never give you a single thing for advertising for them, our site does have some tangible benefits for those who help us.

How do I join?

The JihadWeb[tm] banner program is simple. Just put this image:

in your Web pages and link it to http://www.jihad.net/. Please do not link it to this page or any other page on the JihadWeb[tm], as we'd like people to see our main page first.

If you're not too familiar with HTML, below are instructions for the code to put in your pages:

First off, you can download the "Kill Barney Now!" image by either right-clicking on the image (on Windows) or holding the mouse down over the image (on a Macintosh) and then choosing "Save Image As..."

Now that you have a local copy, you will need to transfer it to your Web account. We'll assume you have a central images directory; if you don't, adjust the code below to fit your setup.

The code that you will need is:

You can add text before or after the image as you desire.

Using the Image

Like most banner programs, the customary place to put our image would be at the bottom of your page or in your links section. Of course, you can really put it anywhere that it'll look cool (in your opinion).
